The Art of Procrastination

Those of you who follow me on Twitter know that I am the queen of procrastination . Logically my mind knows that I have things to do. These things are not really difficult or time-consuming but they are usually necessary.  So why put it off you ask?

I hate to deal with small tasks. This was confirmed when I took a personality assessment for my current position. It is suppossed to help you get what you need from others by identifying strengths and opportunities  and stressors.

My assessment came back that I am a big picture person. I can direct and lead to success but I am not the person to handle every detail personally. BINGO

I hate checking voicemail, making  small talk, opening mail. If I could have a personal assistant in my everyday life I would rule the world. A few years ago when I had my cake decorating/custom candy business my godchild would come in and file and open mail for me. It allowed me to concentrate on my clients.

So what to do now? I have to reconcile in my mind that until that PA walks into my life that I need to open my mail, pay my bills, answer voicemail all in the road to heading my social media empire.

So yes it is time to put on the big girl panties and fulfill my destiny. Because I am the only person who can hold me back.
