Round 8 of the National Finals Rodeo

The night with the full moon sitting high above the Thomas and Mack should have been an indicator that something special was going to happen.

Clayton Biglow bareback rider won his 4th round in a row with a 90 on Showstomper (Frontier Rodeo 129). Will Lummus took the round in Steer Wrestling with 3.6 on the same steer that Dakota Eldridge won 2nd on in round 5.

Clay Smith and Jade Corkill maintained their #1 in the standings with a 5th place check for $6769.23. Driggers/Nogueira came back after a lackluster start to tie for the win. Both have been sick with the flu explaining their lackluster start. Brenton Hall and Chase Tryan won their 1st round with this tie.

There was three way tie in tie down. 7.5 got Pruitt, Milligan, and Martin checks for $20,871.79. The aggregate 1-2-3 are Meged, Cooper, and Durfey.

Jake Watson took home the #1 spot in Saddle Broncs. Brody Cress maintains a healthy lead in the average winning totals $86,999.

Hailey is on a roll winning her 2nd consecutive round with a fast 13.54. Ivy Conrado-Saebens split 3/4 but maintains her aggregate lead.

Stetson Wright ihad a great bull ride on Diddy Wa Diddy for 93.5. You would think that would be enough for a round win. But it was only good enough for 2nd.

Everyone was waiting with anticipation for the matchup of the night. Sage Steele Kimzey vs SweetPro’s Bruiser. That matchup earned Sage a whopping 94 points. Bruiser gave Sage a good run but that 4 time world champion handled him with ease (seemingly).

Round 8 of the 2019 Wrangler National Rodeo was full of exciting moments. So many that will be remembered for years to come.
