In the world of Rodeo there are hundreds of rodeos weekly. Probably the largest sanctioning organization is the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association, known as the PRCA. There are several layers encompassing thousands of official card holding members. This week the Ram Circuit Finals Rodeo is happening in Kissimmee Florida.
The Ram Circuit is composed of 12 circuits that cover the entire US. I live in the First Frontier Circuit. First Frontier includes PRCA sanctioned Rodeos in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, West Virginia and Maine. Otherwise known as the North to most of y’all.
At the end of the season the top contestants on their events come together in Harrisburg, Pa to compete in the circuit finals to go to the national finals. The winners in the overall money won for the season and the aggregate winner for the finals go on to represent all of the First Frontier Circuit.
On March 25th First Frontier will have representing them some amazing Cowboys and Cowgirls that will go head to head against the rest of the Country’s remaining 11 circuits. Some of them are national champions.
We have representing First Frontier:
BB: Tim Kent, Greencastle, PA, Year End Champion and Circuit Finals Average Winner

Most of the participants in this level of the Circuit have full-time or at least part-time jobs and rodeo on the weekends. They train hard while still making a living for their families. Some go to compete full-time to try to get to the WNFR in Las Vegas, but most are happy competing in their respective circuits.
Check out the RNCFR during this 4 day event and see what Northern Cowboys can do on the dirt.
After Day 1 Andy Carter is in 6th with a qualified ride and score of 74 in Bareback. Tied for 3/4 is Zack Kilgus and Justin Yost with a time of 5.2.
